Are SOFTCLOX shoes waterproof?
The SOFTCLOX wooden sole is not affected by wetness! The wood does not swell and the leather of the shoes is not damaged if it gets wet. Important: Let wet SOFTCLOX dry slowly , not on the heater or in the sun, so that the wood does not crack.
Leather shoes are not completely waterproof , but definitely waterresistant .
To impregnate or not to?
The wooden sole of your SOFTCLOX is not water-sensitive and therefore does not need to be impregnated. But for the leather a protective film against moisture or dirt can be useful. Spray a good waterproofing spray on it (check on a small, hidden spot on the shoe!) with a distance of at least 30 cm and let the shoes dry well afterwards. If necessary, polish smooth leather with a soft, dry cloth - and you're done!

Do SOFTCLOX keep the feet warm in winter?
Absolutely, that is one of the greatest qualities of our SOFTCLOX. Wood has a naturally temperature-balancing effect. It quickly absorbs its own body heat and releases it constantly and slowly. This keeps your feet comfortably warm.
Try it out, for example, when sledging or enjoying a winter walk - as you move, the heat cycle stays active and your feet stay warm all round. Because the isolation from below is also exceptionally good due to the wood in combination with the non-slip sole made of PU (polyurethane).

How slip-proof are SOFTCLOX?
The underside of all SOFTCLOX wooden soles, the so-called outsole, is made of PU (polyurethane). It scores with lightness and very high cushioning properties. PU is also known for its high slip resistance - which is why it is often used for work shoes, for example in kitchens. Under our SOFTCLOX shoes, the PU coating provides a good grip when walking in winter and at the same time keeps the cold off from below.
The soles of all models with the initials O, U and I have a very strong profile, which gives even more grip in mud and snow.

ich liebe meine Softclox sehr. In den sehr hohen Clox rutsche ich leider immer ein bisschen nach vorn. Gibt es einen Trick, oder Feinkniestrümpfe mit Noppen?
