In April 2022, we launched SOFTCLOX with a very special material (and a wonderful story behind it): a beautiful woven fabric, artfully crafted by indigenous women in the millennia-old Mayan tradition.
The Nata Y Limòn project, which is looking for uses for the precious fabrics worldwide, works exclusively with women in Guatemala. The constant orders and flexible working hours enable the women to support themselves and their children. This is an important basis for future generations as well.
When we told you the special story and launched the shoes, you were just as excited as we were - and in no time at all the KELLY Maya mules were practically sold out.
Your feedback blew us away, and it was clear to us: this story must continue! So, the weavers got another order from us, and the popular stripe design of the so-called Liso technique was once again brought to life on the hip looms.
The weavers were very happy, as you can see in this lovely video.
Of course - we have relaunched the KELLY Maya mule in the colour sand . And everyone's euphoria even made us go two steps further this year. 😊
Tadaa no.1: Last year's mule gets a companion: the matching clutch to the shoe! The sand-coloured design with the brightly coloured stripes looks just as fabulous on the little bag! The design shows all the trendy colours of the season and that's why it goes for so many occasions. Casual for the beer garden, as an elegant highlight with a white dress at the family party, or also as a (deliberate) splash of colour in trendy monochrome looks all in pink, all in green or all in beige.
Every year Kelly Maya Clutch is the perfect size; phone, wallet, keys & lipstick fit in easily, and the good cause is included anyway. We love!
The detachable shoulder strap offers creative carrying options, casually as a crossbody bag or without the strap as an elegant clutch - just as you like. The bags are made of the precious woven fabric all around - every millimetre is woven with love.
Tadaa no.2: New colour! We have designed a second version of the mule in a new colour combination. Our new KELLY Maya fabric moro in dark brown with a dark wooden sole now complements her light sister! So - which KELLY will be yours? Tell us in the comments.

We love the idea that absolutely every pair or piece was created in mutual appreciation of two cultures and thus added a special beauty and soul to a product.
